Wireworks Challenges InfoComm Attendees to Cabling Contest

Wireworks invites attendees at InfoComm 08 to estimate “How Many Feet of MusiLUX Cable is in the Bowl.” Visitors to Wireworks’ booth C2823 can submit their best guess on the back of their business cards. The participant with the closest guesstimate–without going over–will win the full assortment of MusiLUX’s 10 colors in 500 feet spools; or they may choose a preferred color. The winner will be announced at 4 p.m. PDT on Thursday, June 19.

MusiLUX cable is made of one 22-guage pair, a bare copper drain wire, and a conductive thermoplastic full-coverage shield. The flexible PVC satin finish outer jacket is available in black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, and white. Featuring Wireworks’ “one second strip,” the cable offers easy preparation by eliminating the need to terminate cables with braided shields and cotton fillers. The 10 colors can be used for signal identification, as a way to show corporate colors, or to match decor.

“We wanted to create a contest at InfoComm that would showcase MusiLUX’s extreme flexibility and durability,” said Gerald Krulewicz, president of Wireworks. “By tightly spooling a considerable amount of our cabling into this fishbowl, without compromising the quality of the cable, we are able to showcase the workmanship of our product, while having a little fun in the process.”

MusiLUX is part of the company’s WireLUX family of flexible audio cables, which also includes InstaLUX, StudiLUX, UltraLUX, and SpeakerLUX cables.
