X2O Offers Data Service and Stand-Alone Signage
X2O Media, a provider of digital signage technology, network management, and content services, now offers the X2O Data Service as part of a continued effort to provide customers with end-to-end digital signage solutions.
Also available is the Xpresenter Xe, an all-in-one, stand-alone digital signage system. The entry-level solution features what the company considers better-than-broadcast-quality video output, an easy-to-use configuration screen, point-and-click content management, and links to live data, all within a single channel configuration. When the Data Service is used with the Xpresenter platform, the real-time feeds automatically update displays, minimizing the effort and cost required to keep content fresh and relevant.

The X2O Data Service features bundles of popular data feeds for news, weather, sports, and business headlines. Business data feeds include individual stock quotes, market index values, and currency values. Additional content, such as traffic conditions, science and technology news, entertainment news, celebrity gossip, and offbeat news is also available a la carte. X2O Media also offers premium data feeds that include live business tickers digging deep into commodities and bonds, UPI News, and live sports data.
The Xpresenter Xe’s video output is powered by a graphics rendering engine used in the broadcast industry. The solution also features a configuration screen that lets users personalize parameters for a customized display, a Web-based control screen for day-to-day updates to the on-screen content, and links to live data.
Wilkins characterized the Xe is an “ideal solution for those who want to quickly deploy professional-looking digital displays in stand-alone applications.”
