Xantech, a provider of education solutions, said it plans to offer a complete classroom control system for as little as $500 per room. According to the company the new offering will provide modular scalability, allowing future addition of new features, such as centralized IP-based control and monitoring.

The CRCSG232 Basic Classroom Control kit includes an LM110 controller, KM4 key module, 791-44 Amplified Connecting Block, IR emitters, and CC12 Relay Module for control of a projector, screen, optical-disc player, and external inputs, such as a document camera and PC.

The next level of integration includes the CSPLCD39G touch panel kit. With that add-on, the Basic Classroom Touch Panel Control system comes in under $1,000 per room, says the company.

When you factor in full-scale IP monitoring and control capabilities in Xantech’s Advanced Classroom Touch Panel control, schools can outfit themselves for less than $1,900 per room. The high-end system, with a CSPLCD39G touch panel, RS422/232 conversion, CRMWIC Web Intelligent Control, SPLCDB100, and CC12, offers a touch screen display with real-time projector status, macro-based single button system on/off, auto projector-off with e-mail alerts, and Web-based control for IT support and monitoring.
