Yahama Debuts NEXO Subwoofer in U.S.
The NEXO RS15 from Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems is the first of the Ray Sub series.
The NEXO RS15 low-profile, high-output, modular, scalable bass cabinet, distributed by Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, is the first of the Ray Sub series. Capable of operating in omnidirectional and cardioid modes, the subwoofer comprises a 15-inch transducer with a frequency response of 35 Hz to 150 Hz in directional mode and sensitivity of 105 Db SPL.
Digital signal processing via NX242-ES4 TD controllers allows the RS15 to display cardioid pattern control through the correlation of acoustic distances between transducer and vent sources. The cardioid pattern reduces rear levels by 15 to 18 dB, minimizing wall reflections.
The NEXO RS15 is currently available at a suggested price of $3,800.
