2009 Best Government AV Project (Federal)
AVS was tasked with taking the Pentagon Briefing Room, which now comprises studio, broadcast, and production systems, from a hybrid of analog and digital components to a fully digital core with the ability to support multiple digital formats and future audiovisual technologies. The new system allows for digital audio mixing and multidefinition feeds for television and radio networks.

The new system allows for digital audio mixing and multidefinition feeds for television and radio networks. All RGBHV graphics are transcoded to HD-SDI for display on broadcast-quality monitors. And all seven of the major subsystems, including a translation/interpretation system to support briefings in foreign languages and a camera control subsystem, are network-based, running on their own LANs with dedicated management computers that can be controlled remotely.
