2010 Spotlight Award Winners Announced
PRO AV and ARCHITECT magazines, published by Hanley Wood LLC, and InfoComm International, the leading nonprofit association serving the professional AV communications industry worldwide, announced 16 winners of the third annual PRO AV Spotlight Awards program.
Washington, D.C.,–PRO AV and ARCHITECT magazines, published by Hanley Wood LLC, and InfoComm International, the leading nonprofit association serving the professional AV communications industry worldwide, announced 16 winners of the third annual PRO AV Spotlight Awards program.
The Spotlight Awards recognize the best professional audio/video installations designed for corporate, education, entertainment, government, and other markets. This year, for the first time, PRO AV recognized excellence in residential installations.
Entries were judged by a panel of PRO AV, ARCHITECT and ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING editors, contributors, and AV systems integrators and consultants. Winners had to demonstrate effective collaboration among integrators, designers, architects, and end-users, as well as technical innovation and design excellence.
“The Spotlight Awards program keeps growing every year,” said Brad Grimes, editor of PRO AV and PRO AV Online. “This year’s entries demonstrated that despite the recent economic challenges, organizations continue to look to AV professionals to build audiovisual systems that are increasingly essential to how they operate. It’s been great working with InfoComm and gaining their unique insights into the market.”

InfoComm International partnered with PRO AV and ARCHITECT magazines for the 2010 Spotlight Awards. PRO AV and InfoComm International will host a ceremony to recognize the winners at the InfoComm 2010 trade show in Las Vegas, June 9-11. The ceremony will be held June 10 at 5 p.m. PDT at the InfoComm booth in the main lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
InfoComm congratulates the winners for contributing to the functionality of the built environment, without compromising the structural design,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International. “By creating AV systems that are both innovative and functional, the winners remind architects and building professionals of the value a solid AV team brings to the table.”
“We are extremely pleased that in three short years the Spotlight Awards have become the most prestigious AV integrator/installer awards in the country,” said Jon Yoffie, associate publisher of PRO AV. “We are very appreciative of InfoComm’s recognition and support of the program and look forward to the increased visibility award winners and their projects will receive this year at InfoComm, in ARCHITECT magazine, and through a dedicated Spotlight Awards website scheduled to launch this summer.”
