At CEDIA Expo last month, Digital Projection International (DPI) debuted its new active-3D, single-chip DLP M-Vision Cine 400-3D projector. The 5,500-lumen, native 1080p system projects onto screens up to 12 feet diagonal and should cost less than $20,000, according to DPI. It supports 3D content at 120 frames per second, with throw ratios ranging from 1.25:1 to 3:1. There’s also a fixed lens which offers a 0.73:1 throw ratio. It has two HDMI inputs, as well as RGB via D-15, component, composite, and S-Video ports. The company also introduced its M-Vision Cine 230, similar to its existing 260 model but with a 230W lamp and a $6,995 and $7,495 price tag, depending on lens. 770-420-1350. www.digitalprojection.com.
