Almo and NEC Form Alliance
Almo Professional A/V, the new division of U.S. distributor Almo Corp., has signed an agreement with NEC Display Solutions of America to distribute NEC’s complete line of displays, projectors, whiteboards, and vertical market turnkey packages.
Almo Professional AV, the new division of U.S. distributor Almo Corp., has signed an agreement with NEC Display Solutions of America to distribute NEC’s complete line of displays, projectors, whiteboards, and vertical market turnkey packages.
“This alliance is important for our channel partners because of the accessibility they will now have to NEC’s rich product offering,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO of Almo Professional AV, in a statement.
“Almo’s strong focus on pro AV resellers, total years of employee experience, and vast technical knowledge are attributes we consider significant for a distributor of NEC products,” said Pierre Richer, president and COO of NEC Display Solutions of America. Taylor is the former president of pro AV distributor Electrograph and the new Almo Professional AV team comprises many other experienced one-time Electrograph employees.
The new alliance gives Almo partners access to NEC’s MultiSync and AccuSync desktop LCD monitors and MultiSync large-screen LCDs, as well as the company’s mobile, portable, and installation projectors. NEC’s business and education whiteboards and preconfigured solutions for digital signage and other markets are also available now from Almo, according to the companies.
Resellers will have the opportunity to see the latest NEC displays and projectors at Almo’s upcoming regional events in Cincinnati on August 5 and in Bloomington, Minn., on August 13. Each event will showcase the latest professional and consumer AV products, provide an informational session about Almo Professional AV, and present the midwest sales team at a networking event.
