AMX and SpinetiX Join Forces

AMX announced a technology-sharing partnership with Swiss digital signage manufacturer, SpinetiX. The collaborative relationship allows both companies to leverage their areas of expertise to develop digital signage advancements, company officials said.
SpinetiX manufactures digital signage players, including the HMP100 Hyper Media Player. According to the companies, they plan to create “next-generation digital signage solutions that can create multi-sensory, interactive experiences for viewers.”
“SpinetiX is pleased to team with another leading technology brand, AMX, in a collaborative working partnership,” said Yann Guyonvarc’h, CEO of SpinetiX, in a statement. “As the digital signage market is really coming into its own, we look to deliver advances from combining the technologies that significantly impact the market and pave the way for a new generation of digital signage capabilities.”
By combining digital signage with centralized control, customers will be able to create a total environmental and interactive experience, company officials said. For example, when a user passes near a digital sign, an audio clip can beckon them to approach.

“SpinetiX digital signage technology combined with AMX’s extensive system integration and product testing processes will result in innovative solutions for the marketplace,” said AMX chief technology officer Robert Noble, in a statement. “By offering digital signage solutions that are born of the best of breed digital signage players and network control, we are creating new business opportunities for our dealers at a time when the market is escalating and eager for this type of complete solution.”
Both the HMP100 Hyper Media Player from SpinetiX and the subscription-free Inspired XPress Signage Solution from AMX use ultra-compact signage players that utilize Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) to produce digital signage that is easy to deploy and energy-efficient, according to the companies.
