Architectural Acoustics Rolls Out New Digitools
Architectural Acoustics, a Peavey brand, will roll out several new products next week at InfoComm 2010, including three newly redesigned and re-engineered models of the Peavey AA Digitool multiprocessor, as well as two lightweight loudspeakers?the Impulse 12D powered loudspeaker and the new Impulse 261 two-way, full-range loudspeaker.
Architectural Acoustics, a Peavey brand, will roll out several new products next week at InfoComm 2010, including three newly redesigned and re-engineered models of the Peavey AA Digitool multiprocessor, as well as two lightweight loudspeakers–the Impulse 12D powered loudspeaker and the new Impulse 261 two-way, full-range loudspeaker.
Three redesigned and re-engineered AA Digitool multiprocessors will make their debut: the MX16, featuring eight inputs and eight outputs; the MX32, featuring 16 inputs and 16 outputs; and the Live, feature eight balanced XLR inputs and outputs for live sound front-of-house applications. The new Digitools will feature an updated, more powerful DSP engine, says the company, along with a full-color LCD screen, enhanced front panel navigation, individual input and output mutes, and five segment LED arrays for input and output signal monitoring.
Additionally, a USB port on the front of the new processors is for programming, while an Ethernet port on the back can be used for programming or connecting to a network. On the back panel, there are eight control voltage ports and two RS-485 ports, allowing for much more external control than the original Digitool MX. All three models include a global 100-volt to 240-volt power supply.
“Our new Digitool models represent a new direction for the Architectural Acoustics line, and we are excited to debut all the new versions of one of our most popular products,” said Kevin Ivey, general manager of Peavey’s Commercial Audio Division, in a statement. “The new Digitools share a technology platform with our MediaMatrix Nion DSP engine, opening a new world of possibilities for integration of the Digitool with MediaMatrix projects.”
Other features include improved dynamic range and mic/line input circuitry, enhanced navigation, eight control voltage ports, AES input, an enhanced security system, and a new graphic user interface featuring MediaMatrix nWare.
