AVI-SPL Adds Education Market Managers
AVI-SPL welcomed two new education market managers to the company. In Los Angeles, the company added market manager Ron Martinez to the team. In the Dallas office, AVI-SPL hired Jennifer Smeaton.

AVI-SPL welcomed two new education market managers to the company. In Los Angeles, the company added market manager Ron Martinez to the team. In the Dallas office, AVI-SPL hired Jennifer Smeaton.
Martinez will focus on building relationships with educational and house of worship institutions in order to provide audio video solutions. Martinez previously worked for AVI-SPL in 2006 and has more than 10 years of industry experience. Martinez most recently worked for Anderson Video as a sales engineer.
Smeaton will work with K-12 schools to create technology and audiovisual solutions specific to their needs. Smeaton brings exceptional experience to the position, company officials said. She was previously a teacher and coach for Arlington Independent School District. Jennifer is certified to teach grades K-8, technology applications, and is also ESL certified. Additionally, she is a Smart Certified Notebook and Response Trainer.
“In recent years, we’ve seen a high demand from schools to incorporate technology into the classroom,” said Robert Moss, vice president of education technology sales, in a statement. “So at AVI-SPL we’re adding talented salespeople like Ron and Jennifer who are very familiar with the educational system in order to best meet schools’ needs.”
