AVI-SPL Adds Sales Engineer, Opens New NY Office

National integrator AVI-SPL announced the addition of Greg Amato to its sales team in the company’s the Tampa office. It also said it was merging its New York-area operations.
As a sales engineer, Amato will develop and maintain client relationships in addition to securing new business for providing audio visual integration services. He brings more than 10 years of communication and AV experience to his role as sales engineer at AVI-SPL, according to the company. In his most recent position as a sales representative for Professional Communications Systems in Tampa, he specialized in selling collaborative environments, innovative digital signage systems, IPTV, and network based AV technology. Additionally he assisted in designing AV systems which included conducting product specification research, producing schematic designs, and providing client support and system training.
“I’m pleased to welcome Greg to our Tampa sales team,” said Alyson Seeger, AVI-SPL sales manager, in a statement. “He brings with him thorough knowledge of the industry. He’s also very involved in the Tampa Bay community which is vital in order to grow our business.”
Separately, said it has merged its Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and Manhattan offices into a new office location in Long Island City. Serving all areas of New York and the surrounding regions, the new Long Island location positions AVI-SPL closer to its clients, the company said. Additionally, the facility’s larger office space will accommodate their plans for future office growth.
