AVI-SPL Tweaks Integration Group
Audio and video communications integrator AVI-SPL announced it has restructured its Systems Integration Group. To create greater efficiencies, five national territories have been consolidated and will be overseen by Chris Bianchet and Joel Dougherty, who will take the newly created roles of senior vice president for integration.

To create greater efficiencies, five national territories have been consolidated and will be overseen by Chris Bianchet and Joel Dougherty, who will take the newly created roles of senior vice president for integration.
“The rapid and continuing growth of AVI-SPL– and this division in particular–demands that we restructure to drive increased operational efficiencies and effectiveness,” said AVI-SPL chief operating officer Don LaNeve in a statement. “Both Chris and Joel bring great knowledge of our company and extensive experience in all facets of our business. They will ensure we attain business goals and continue to deliver a seamless customer experience.”
In their new roles, Dougherty and Bianchet will be responsible for sales and operations, as well as working as a team to set strategic goals and direction for the Systems Integration Group.
Joel Dougherty joined AVI in 1993 as a sales engineer. In 2000, he became general manager of AVI’s Tampa office overseeing its growth from $7 million to $25 million and in 2008 became a regional vice president. He holds a CTS certification and has overseen installations at both the United States Special Operations Command and at the United States Central Command.
Chris Bianchet joined AVI in 2000 and was most recently the senior vice president of sales, integration, responsible for sales within AVI-SPL Systems Integration offices nationwide. Prior to joining AVI, Bianchet was a sales representative for Future Enterprises for five years. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from the State University of New York at Fredonia and holds a CTS certification.
