Biamp Systems is accepting nominations for six scholarships to be awarded to audio professionals who want to participate in Syn-Aud-Con certification programs. The scholarships will cover tuition and reimburse meals and lodging costs during the training seminars.

Biamp Systems is accepting nominations for six scholarships to be awarded to audio professionals who want to participate in Syn-Aud-Con certification programs. The scholarships will cover tuition and reimburse meals and lodging costs during the training seminars. According to the company, the awards are aimed to support the future leaders in the audiovisual industry.

The Biamp Education in Audio Scholarship is open to Biamp customers worldwide who want to take part in one of four classes offered by Syn-Aud-Con. Classes include Sound Reinforcement for Operators, Sound Reinforcement for Technicians, Sound Reinforcement for Designers, and Syn-Aud-Con Digital. The recipient may choose which class he or she would like to attend based on their needs or the needs of their company.

“We worked with our partner, Syn-Aud-Con, to develop a unique program, which gives our customers an opportunity for continued education, without the costs,” said Steve Metzger, vice president of business development at Biamp, in a statement. “We look forward to reviewing the nominations and will announce winners at InfoComm.”

Nominees not awarded a scholarship will receive a one-year membership to Syn-Aud-Con courtesy of Biamp, as well as a complimentary admission to the AV Math Online class sponsored by InfoComm Academy.

Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on May 29, 2009. See Biamp’s website for more information.
