Black Box has released the new AC3011A HD View HDMI Repeater, enabling the company’s HD View HDMI system to further extend digital signage content, according to the company.
The standard maximum distance for HDMI cable is 16 feet, depending on the cable and technology used, claims the company. When working with the transmitter from the Black Box HD View HDMI system, the AC3011A repeater distributes HD video and digital audio content as far as 660 feet in cascaded multiscreen applications, the company says.
The new capability suits the HD View video distribution system to digital signs, bulletins, and training aids, and eases the distribution of video systems to LCD or plasma screens, says Black Box officials.
