ClearOne named a pair of industry veterans to high-profile positions. Chris Wildfoerster was made vice president of business development, while R. Scott Woolley was named director of product management for multimedia and networking products.

In his new role, Wildfoerster will report directly to Zee Hakimoglu, ClearOne’s chairman and CEO, and will immediately assume responsibility for ClearOne’s IP licensing strategy, StreamNet Eco System partner development, new market development, direct large opportunities development, and a ClearOne partner affiliate program.

Prior to joining ClearOne, Wildfoerster worked as director of business development for Crestron Electronics for 10 years, where he was responsible for building and growing strategic alliances with partner manufacturers, along with directing OEM sales to further sales opportunities for Crestron. He served as an independent consultant to CABA, the Continental Automated Buildings Association to assist member companies involved in the design, manufacture and installation of intelligent building controls.

Before Crestron, Wildfoerster worked for Bose Corp. as business manager for the Eastern region. At Bose, he assumed sales management responsibility for all custom residential and professional audio products sold in assigned regions. Prior to Bose, Wildfoerster spent 10 years with Bogen Communications. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Montana.

“I look forward to working with manufacturing partners, installing dealers, specifying consultants, and end-users,” said Wildfoerster, in a statement. “My objective is to capitalize on the growing momentum of the market as IT and AV convergence accelerates and unified communications solutions blossom.”

Woolley’s responsibilities will include spearheading the definition of next-generation products to capture new market opportunities, creating and driving market campaigns to improve product awareness, and developing competitive positioning strategies to drive ClearOne market share growth for multimedia and networking products, according to the company.

Joining ClearOne in 1998, Woolley has more than 25 years of experience in the sound, acoustics, audiovisual and data network industry with experience in global marketing, market analysis and channel management. While at ClearOne, he has held a number of key roles including consultant liaison for professional products, director of product marketing for professional products, and advanced technical trainer.

Prior to joining ClearOne, Woolley was an independent technology system design consultant with Spectrum Engineers where he designed audiovisual and computer data network systems. He has presented at multiple industry events, including InfoComm, and has been published in several industry magazines and professional journals.

“Scott’s industry and technology expertise make him a perfect fit for this new position,” said Tracy Bathurst, chief strategy officer at ClearOne, in a statement. “The combination of his experience in the audio conferencing industry, with his deep knowledge of ClearOne products and channels, will make his contributions significant and immediate.”
