new EX Series are just 1.6 inches thick, thanks to their LED edge-lighting. Sizes range from 40 to 55 inches with full HD resolution, a 120-Hz refresh rate, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 450 cd/m² of brightness. Samsung claims the LED-lit displays consume 30 to 50 percent less electricity than traditionally lit LCD monitors. The 460EXn (pictured) features an integrated PC with Samsung’s MagicInfo Pro digital signage software and optional MagicInfo-i Web server for Web-based management. MagicInfo-i allows users to control several displays by connecting them to a network via their built-in RJ-45 ports. A smart scheduling function gives them the ability to turn on and off displays, adjust volume, and set input sources. 800-726-7864.
