Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s

Presentation Products Division rolled out a 65-inch LCD with a built-in Cat-5 receiver and ambient light sensors in the front and rear of the display. The sensors on the $8,995 1080p MDT651S automatically adjust the monitor’s brightness level and balance image brightness where lighting around the display changes frequently. The Cat-5 receiver helps to eliminate cable clutter and make installation easier, supporting lengths of up to 500 feet between source and display. Video and RS-485 serial-control signals can be delivered simultaneously over the same Cat-5 cable, eliminating the need for a separate serial-control cable. Users can also daisy-chain up to five monitors and, thanks to a narrow bezel and a frame compensation function, build videowalls up to 5×5. 888-307-0312.
