Crestron Joins NSCA’s SystemsPlus Health Solutions
The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) announced that Crestron Electronics has joined the growing number of manufacturers and systems integrators participating in the SystemsPlus Health Solutions insurance program.
The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) announced that Crestron Electronics has joined the growing number of manufacturers and systems integrators participating in the SystemsPlus Health Solutions insurance program. Created by NSCA in 2006, SystemsPlus Mutual Insurance Co. (SPMIC) provides a variety of insurance solutions and began offering health insurance in January 2009.
“This is a win-win for our industry,” said Randy Klein, executive vice president of Crestron Electronics, in a statement. “We are pleased to join this impressive list of industry leaders who realize the significance of providing the best healthcare options to their employees, while at the same time helping smaller integration companies with their struggle to offer benefits for their people. We recognize how expensive providing healthcare coverage is for our systems integrator customers, so we jumped at the chance to help them.”
SystemsPlus Health Solutions is designed to help commercial electronic systems companies combat rising health insurance premiums. The program offers innovative alternatives, such as wellness initiatives and the ability to receive future credits toward insurance premiums.
“Having a large firm like Crestron join our program sets the stage for SPMIC to extend the program to smaller companies,” said Ray Bailey, president of the SystemsPlus Board of Directors, in a statement. “Over the course of the last few months, other groups like AVI-SPL, Ford AV, LMG, and Mitek Communications Group have all joined the organization. Many smaller businesses make up this industry, so it is important to help them purchase insurance as if they had the purchasing power of a 3,000-employee company. It’s a very exciting benefit that the association will be able to provide.”
Program participants can access a national network of providers, stabilize health insurance costs, earn premium credits based on program and individual company performance, encourage employees to manage health risk (preventative maintenance procedures covered 100 percent and not subject to co-insurance or deductibles), and reduce the burden on human resources through one contact and one program for the entire company, even if there are branches in multiple states.
