Crestron Lands on Government IT Schedule

Crestron announced recently that the company had been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Schedule 70 contract.

Crestron announced recently that the company had been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Schedule 70 contract. Known as the Multiple Award Schedule, the IT Schedule 70 gives government agencies easy access to a wide variety of IT products and services.

Because of its spot on Schedule 70, Crestron officials said local, state, and federal governments can now work closely with the company’s sales team to obtain fair and reasonable approved pricing and license terms. As a government vendor partner, Crestron said it can complete contracts with agencies faster and with fewer obstacles.

“Becoming an authorized vendor partner enables us to provide more opportunities to our dealers and to support our government partners quickly and more efficiently,” said Landon Lovett, Crestron’s director of federal government markets, in a statement. “Crestron understands the unique needs of government agencies and the importance of securely automating control of the technology throughout their facilities.”

Though the contract is new, Crestron already has a presence among government and military branches. Installed solutions include RoomView enterprise management, digital AV distribution using DigitalMedia, lighting and HVAC control, and security in network operations centers, military installations, federal agencies, EOCs, and court rooms worldwide.

In addition, Crestron control systems and touch panels recently received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Information Assurance Certification to provide automation and control on secure networks, earning the Department of Homeland Security’s highest compliance rating on Vulnerability Assessment Results.
