Crestron recently released its DM-MD32x32 matrix switcher, the largest available in the company’s DigitalMedia (DM) product line.

Designed for facilitywide and whole-house distribution, the 32×32 is field-configurable and card-based, with a variety of input and output cards available, according to Crestron. DM accepts and distributes several combinations of AV signals, including VGA, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, 3G-SDI, Ethernet, and USB keyboard/mouse control. Transmission can run hundreds of feet over a single twisted-pair cable or up to 1,000 feet via fiber, with every signal preserved in its native resolution and format, company officials says.

“Our DM-MD switchers are true matrix switchers, routing a mix of AV and data signals to multiple displays and receivers,” said Vincent Bruno, Crestron director of marketing, in a statement.

The DM-32×32 automatically manages all digital signal data to work out of the box, says the company. The selection of input and output cards makes it easier for integrators to choose the best combination of features for their projects. An online configurator streamlines the process for Crestron dealers, while built-in software tools simplify troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimizing system performance, the company adds.
