Crestron announced the release of RoomView Express 6.3 Remote Help Desk and Resource Management software.
Crestron announced the release of RoomView Express 6.3 Remote Help Desk and Resource Management software. The newest version of the RoomView Express platform allows AV and IT managers and administrators to instantly broadcast image-based emergency messages and text-based alerts to displays across a campus. Featuring a combination of customizable messaging, storage, and distribution capabilities, RoomView Express 6.3 enhances and simplifies emergency preparedness in schools, across college campuses, and any other commercial application where emergency planning is critical, company officials said.
To ensure optimal levels of preparedness, messages with specific images, such as exit route maps, can be created and pre-loaded in advance. Messages and instructions will automatically take over the entire screen so broadcasts are seen by everyone to inform people where to go in an emergency. Customized messages and images can also be projected to displays in any room, group of rooms, entire wings, or a whole building.
"This flexible broadcast messaging capability lets school officials manage emergency situations in the most efficient and timely manner possible, while increasing the safety of all citizens on campus," said Vincent Bruno, Crestron director of marketing, in a statement.
RoomView Express is built into many RoomView Connected projectors from manufacturers such as Epson, Dell, Mitsubishi, BenQ, Optoma, Acer, and Viewsonic. Users connect a RoomView projector to the LAN via the projector's integrated Ethernet port and then download the free RoomView Express management software to directly monitor, manage, and control all projectors on the network without a control system or any programming.
RoomView Express 6.3 now supports 21 foreign languages, providing help desk managers across the globe with an single-platform solution to remotely monitor, manage, and control campuswide AV resources from any Crestron touch screen, Web browser, PC or Mac.
