Digital Signage Expo said it is now accepting nominations for its 7th Annual Apex and Content Awards. The submission deadline is Friday, Nov.12.

This year the Apex Awards categories include: Arts, Entertainment & Recreation; Business, Industry & Government; Education & Healthcare; Event Venues; Food & Beverage; Hospitality; Public Spaces, Retail, Transportation; and “New Concept.” The New Concept category is for highly innovative and future-forward digital signage applications, officials said
Content nominees must have a new or current digital signage or interactive technology program installed or in roll-out phase between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 and will be judged on creative relevance, production quality and fulfillment of the intended mission. Independent industry panels will judge the Apex and Content Award entries submitted for all end-user categories.
Chris Gibbs, president of Exponation LLC, which produces Digital Signage Expo, said in a statement, “Every year the awards entries reflect new and innovative ways in which digital signage is being applied to help businesses in all industry categories better inform, interact with and improve the customer or visitor experience. We are looking forward to reviewing the latest entries to see which exciting applications set new standards in their respective categories.”
The Second Annual Apex and Content Awards Dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at the Paris Hotel Las Vegas from 7:00-9:00pm. Individual tickets can be purchased online at www.dse2011.com.
The Digital Signage Expo tradeshow is Feb. 22-25, 2011, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
