Extron Electronics unveiled several new TouchLink products at InfoComm 2010. TouchLink is the company’s configuration-based touchpanel control system for handling AV control in single display rooms, dual display rooms, divisible rooms, multi-image systems, and video conference suites.

Extron this week introduced the new TLP 350MV, a 3.5-inch touchscreen designed for lectern or wall mounting; the IPL 500, an Ethernet control processor that offers a full scope of AV control capabilities; and a selection of new mounting accessories.

“We designed these new products in direct response to customer requests for enhancements to the TouchLink line introduced at last year’s InfoComm, “said Casey Hall, Extron’s vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement for Extron.”These latest additions will further enable integrators to implement touchpanel control in almost any AV presentation environment.”

The TLP 350MV is a 3.5-inch touchpanel that is suited to applications that require a small installation footprint. It is designed for wall or lectern use, offering the power of touchpanel control in the same three-gang form factor common for keypad interfaces. It also incorporates power over Ethernet to further simplify installation.

The IPL 500 is the latest addition to Extron’s IP Link control processor line and offers eight bi-directional serial ports, eight configurable IR/S ports, four relays, four flex I/O ports, Ethernet driver support and four switched DC ports. The increased control capability of the IPL 500 greatly expands the applications for Extron configurable control systems.

Several mounting accessories will also add to the locations were TouchLink touchpanels can be installed, according to the company. These include wall boxes, surface mount boxes, and pre-construction back boxes as well as VESA and swivel mount options for the various TouchLink touchpanels.
