Fiber-Optic Transmitter: MultiDyne DVI-ONE-E
MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems introduced the DVI-ONE-E, which can transmit and receive either DVI or HDMI video over a single fiber connection using bi-directional communication.
MultiDyne Video and Fiber Optic Systems rolled out the DVI-ONE-E, which can transmit and receive either DVI or HDMI video over a single fiber connection using bi-directional communication to maintain HDCP copyright compliance and EDID functionality. The solution can send an uncompressed DVI or HDMI signal at up to WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution with no dropped frames, the company says. Displays can be set up more than 3,000 feet away from the source when multimode fiber is used. The DVI-ONE-E handles DVI and HDMI signals through a cable adapter and includes a locking HDMI-connector.
