Hitachi Rolls Out Several New Projectors

Hitachi America introduced its new CP-WUX645N 3LCD projector, as well as a line of networkable projectors and three short-throw projectors at InfoComm 2010.
The CP-WUX645N offers WUXGA resolution, 10-bit image processing, and 4,200 ANSI lumens of brightness, in addition to Hitachi’s Perfect Fit technology. According to the company, Perfect Fit enables precise adjustment of the projected image by moving the four corners individually. A 2x zoom lens add flexibility. Users can also manually shift the lens horizontally and vertically without causing image distortion, according to the company.
A Picture-by-Picture feature allows users to project two images from two separate computers or one computer and one video source onto a single screen at the same time for side-by-side viewing. Connectivity options include an HDMI, RGB port, BNC, Component, S-Video, and Composite. A hybrid filter extends cleaning frequency to approximately 2,000 hours, while networking functions allow users to manage and control multiple projectors over a LAN system.
Hitachi’s new line of networkable 3LCD projectors includes the CP-X4011N, CP-X3011N, CP-X2511N, and CP-X2011N models. All four projectors boast such new features as a USB connection and a microphone input, which, along with two built-in 8W loudspeakers, can be used even when the projector is in standby mode. Additionally, Hitachi’s Messenger function enables users to transmit text data to any or all projectors on the network in the way of announcements, notifications, and activity schedules. Content can be displayed via USB and LAN connections.
The three new projectors in the ultra short-throw category–CP-A300N, CP-A220N, and CP-AW250N–also feature networking functionality. The A300N and A220N models feature a throw distance of about 20 inches at an 80-inch screen size, while the AW250N features a throw distance of about 22 inches at an 80-inch screen
All three short-throw models weigh approximately 8.8 pounds. The CP-A300N displays 3,000 ANSI lumens, the CP-AW250N displays 2,500 ANSI lumens, and the CP-A220N displays 2,200 ANSI lumens. Hitachi’s “free-shaped lens and mirror” is what enables the projectors’ throw ratios, and it helps makes the projectors smaller, lighter, and display HD image, says the company. Like the CP-WUX645N, the CP-A300N, CP-AW250N, and CP-A220N include Perfect Fit technology and a hybrid filter. Wired networking allows for simultaneous control and monitoring of multiple projectors as well as image translation, while Messenger transmits text to multiple projectors on a network.
CP-A300N, CP-AW250N, and CP-A220N include a microphone input and a built-in 10-watt loudspeaker, along with USB connectivity.
