Lectrosonics recently introduced its new Mute switch, which was designed for use with the company’s belt-pack transmitters for instant audio muting. The $329 Mute switch is an active device that’s powered by any five-pin Lectrosonics transmitter, including the company’s new servo-input transmitters such as the SM Series, LMa, and UM400a. It works with most two- and three-wire lavalier microphones, using an optically coupled switch to silence the audio signal without clicks or pops, according to the company. The unit’s toggle switch is weather resistant, and the included cable has weather-resistant vinyl boots at each end. A wiring kit provides a five-pin connector and an additional boot to protect the lavalier mic connector from moisture. 800-821-1121. www.lectrosonics.com.
