Cisco announced general availability of its new Digital Media Player 4310, which is the first Cisco player to include the company’s Medianet functionality.

Cisco Systems has announced general availability of its new Digital Media Player (DMP) 4310, which is the first Cisco player to include the company’s Medianet functionality. Medianet makes it so when a player is plugged into a Cisco network, it is automatically recognized and configured. The DMP 4310 is a solid-state player that runs on power over Ethernet. Unlike prior DMP products, the 4310 does not have built-in Wi-Fi. It comes with 32GB of flash storage, S-Video and HDMI 1.3 outputs, as well as Ethernet, USB, IR, and RS-232 ports.
