Medialon announced it will unveil its new MIP HD compact player this week at InfoComm. The MIP HD plays back both multimedia content–Flash, HTML, JPEG, URLs–and 1080p HD video.

The player’s built-in Web server provides a user interface to remotely upload media, build playlists, and schedule and retrieve log files. According to the company, a Sync Video mode allows synchronization of limitless numbers of HD video playback via the network. The MIP HD can either operate autonomously or work with a Medialon control system, suiting it for museum and digital signage applications.

The MIP HD includes a 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, a DVI, an optical audio, two analog audio outs, an RS-232 DB9 male serial port, an HDMI, a VGA, a digital RCA audio SPDIF, and an analog audio in. Supported media include video (MPEG4, MPEG2 SD, MPEG2 HD, WMV), still images (bitmap, JPEG, gif, tiff), audio (wave PCM, MP3, AAC, MIDI), and Composite (HTML, Flash, PPT97).

Medialon’s MIP HD sync player is scheduled to begin shipping at the end of this month.
