Solid State Logic added two modules to its X-Rack/Mynx SuperAnalogue mixing and processing system that, according to the company, reproduce the sonic signature of its SSL 4000 E console channel strip from the 1980s.

Solid State Logic added two modules to its X-Rack/Mynx SuperAnalogue mixing and processing system that, according to the company, reproduce the sonic signature of its SSL 4000 E console channel strip from the 1980s. The E Series EQ Module feature two EQs that are distinguished by the colors on the low frequency knob caps. The Brown-02 and Black-242 EQs have a bell-curve option on high frequency and low frequency plus a fully parametric low-to-mid and high-to-mid frequencies. The E Series Dynamics Module features a compressor/limiter and an expander/gate, plus a true RMS converter used in the side chain. The gain element has a discreet design that is identical to the Class A VCA chip used in the original SL 61E Series channel strip. Prices: E Series EQ & Dynamics Modules, $975 each.
