The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) and PSA Security Network have announced a partnership involving NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference and the latter’s PSA-TEC conference. The agreement also makes it possible for PSA members to benefit from NSCA’s SystemsPlus Insurance Solutions program, which provides industry-specific health, stop loss, property and casualty, and surety insurance solutions.

According to NSCA’s 2009 Q3 Market Intelligence Briefing report, security and life safety applications and services are the fastest growing technology segment within the commercial electronic systems industry. This shift over the past two years reflects a growing industry during challenging economic times, the organization says.

PSA Security Network is the world’s largest electronic security cooperative with members responsible for over $1.7 billion annually in security, fire, and life safety installations.

Officials say PSA’s endorsement of NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference bridges two sectors of the electronics systems industry and emphasizes the importance of uniting them. NSCA and PSA expect to bring together leading companies from technology sectors that will soon be working on the same network.

The agreement also calls for NSCA’s relevant technical training to be delivered at PSA-TEC. NSCA will host technical courses essential for PSA members and security/life safety systems integrators. These courses will instruct them how to decipher new code provisions and how those will affect their work.

“Our members will have opportunities to discuss real-world solutions in two different environments,” said Bill Bozeman, president and CEO of PSA, in a statement. “NSCA’s business conference is focused on networking and building a better business, and PSA-TEC is focused on providing the best training to integrators.”

“NSCA is pleased to partner with PSA on [SystemsPlus],” said NSCA executive director Chuck Wilson in a statement. “With the endorsement of PSA, both NSCA and PSA members will allow participants to obtain the benefits of large-group pricing in a time when saving money without sacrificing profits is essential.”

The NSCA Business & Leadership Conference will be held February 25-27, 2010, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. For more information, visit www.nsca.org/blc. PSA-TEC will be held May 24-28, 2010, in Rosemont, Ill. For more information, visit www.psasecurity.com.
