NSCA Seeks Excellence in Business

The National Systems Contractor Association (NSCA) has begun accepting nominations for its 2011 Excellence in Business Awards.

Recipients of the 2010 NSCA Excellence in Business Awards included Rusty Ranney of Live! Technologies, Bradford Caron of SIGNET, Dean Chitwood of D&L Communication Systems, and Daniel Boylan of Xerox Audio Visual Solutions.

The National Systems Contractor Association (NSCA) has begun accepting nominations for its 2011 Excellence in Business Awards. Officials said the program is open to systems integrators who’ve enjoyed outstanding success resulting from their particular business strategies. Submissions will be accepted through December 31 via self- and peer-nominated applications.

The awards will be presented at the 2011 NSCA Business & Leadership Conference, February 17 to 19 in San Diego, Calif. NSCA officials said winners will be featured during the opening night reception, when they will discuss their strategies and techniques in an open forum with their peers and key industry representatives.

“We have long recognized that the ability to share our knowledge with new associates allows all of us to work at a much higher level,” said Rusty Ranney, CEO and president of Live! Technologies, whose company won last year.

NSCA said many members have discovered alternative ways to handle business challenges through the awards program, from prevailing wage struggles on job sites to the competition to retain staff.

Customers, business partners, manufacturers, and peers are encouraged to nominate systems integrators who have excelled in one of the following categories:

  • Growth Strategies
  • Professional Development
  • Strategic Advancement
  • Project Development
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Education of Allied Professionals
  • Recurring Revenue
  • Fiscal Responsibility
  • Philanthropic Contributions

Candidates may apply online at www.nsca.org/blcawards. The NSCA Business and Leadership Conference Committee will announce the winners on January 14, 2011. Winners will receive one free admission to the conference, a $949 value.
