Optoma Technology’s latest line of data projectors includes 14 models geared toward the corporate and government markets.

Optoma Technology’s latest line of data projectors includes 14 models geared toward the corporate and government markets. “It’s the most comprehensive [product line] we have ever offered, and puts Optoma in the strongest possible position to offer the highest performance and value at every level in this market,” said director of product and marketing Jon Grodem, in a statement.

The TW775, TX785, and TX783 (announced at InfoComm) are the company’s most advanced DLP projectors, and are designed to meet requirements for use in auditoriums, lecture halls, and conference rooms up to 200 people.

The TX785 XGA and TW775 WXGA projectors feature a center lens design, full lens shift, and are powered by high-efficiency lamps that emit 5,000 and 4,400 ANSI lumens, respectively. This feature allows them to deliver a maximum screen size of 300 inches at throw distances from 17 to 60 feet, according to the company. A choice of three lens options, each made with optically matched ED glass elements, reportedly provide sharper images with improved brightness and contrast. Both also offer several connectivity options, with I/O ports for HDMI, DVI-D with HDCP, two VGA in, VGA out, S-video, Composite video, component video, five BNC (RGBHV/YPbPr), two mini-jack audio in, two RCA audio in, audio out, USB, RS-232, RJ45, and a +12-volt trigger.

For medium and larger venues, the TX783 offers 5,000 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 1,200:1 in native XGA resolution. It also includes full power lens shift, power focus, and, at $2,799, the same connectivity options for a lower price point than the TW775 and TX785.

The TW766W and TX765W provide 4,000 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,500:1. PureShift technology and 1.6x zoom allows for more flexible projector placement. The two projectors also incorporate four-in-one presentations features, as well as Mobishow, a feature that enables users to present directly from Windows mobile devices, such as cell phones. Both offer WXGA and XGA resolutions, but the TW766W has a native 16:10 aspect ratio, while the TX765W delivers a native 4:3 aspect ratio. The two projectors are each priced for less than $2,000.

Optoma’s TW1692 and TX7156 were built for applications where mobility and high brightness are important considerations. Delivering 3,000 ANSI lumens in a portable 3.2-pound chassis, both projectors are presentation ready with a remote and laser pointer. Other features include closed captioning and such connectivity options as HDMI, VGA in, Composite video, S-video, audio in, and USB. The TW1692 and TX7156 will be priced at $1,199 and $899, respectively.

The new TX612 and TX615 were designed to operate in a range of environments and light conditions. Each provides 3,500 ANSI lumens at a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and projects in native XGA resolution. The TX612 provides enough audio output from one 2-watt loudspeaker to fill a small room, says the company; for larger venues, the TX615 provides a 10-watt loudspeaker system. Multiple connectivity options are available, including an optional wireless WiFi dongle, to allow for multiple computers and video players. The TX612 provides to VGA ins, VGA out, S-video, Composite video, stereo audio in, stereo audio out, RS-232, and USB. The TX615 adds an HDMI connector and two stereo audio inputs, an RJ45 for remote management and control, and a 12-volt trigger. The suggested price for the TX612 is $899, while the TX615 is $999.

The TX542 is a portable video projector designed especially for contemporary teaching and training applications. Rated at 2,800 ANSI lumens with native XGA resolution, the TX542 uses a DLP light engine that deliver 3,000:1 contrast ratio that helps produce vibrant color and sharp text, says the company. The projector also includes a 10-watt loudspeaker system, closed captioning, and remote mouse control with a laser pointer. RJ45-based network technology allows for the remote management and message broadcasting features often required in educational and corporate training environments. The TX542 is priced at $749.

The TX536 and TS526 both feature 2,800 ANSI lumens and deliver a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The TX536 operates at a native XGA resolution, while the TS526 operates as a native SVGA resolution. Both projectors support computer and video resolutions of up to 1080p and are backed by a three-year Express Replacement Service warranty. The TX536 will be priced at $649; the TS526 is priced at $549.

Lastly, the EX532 and ES522 are portable DLP projectors designed to offer corporate and educational users a less costly solutions in rooms of up to 30 people. With 2,800 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, the EX532 and ES522 can project even in high ambient light conditions, says the company. Other features include remote mouse control with laser pointer and closed captioning support. The EX523 will sell for $549 and the ES522 will be available for $449.
