Panasonic PT-DZ570

Panasonic Solutions Co. announced the PT-DZ570 Series projectors, featuring up to 4,500 lumens of brightness and native WUXGA resolution for full high-definition viewing. Company officials said the new line it ideal for a variety if installations, including education, health care, and corporate.

The new projectors include Panasonic’s original RGB Booster, which combines Panasonic’s proprietary Vivid Color Control technology with a lamp modulation drive system in a single-chip DLP. Panasonic’s Daylight View Premium feature measures surrounding illumination with a built-in ambient light sensor and corrects the image in real-time, company officials said. The PT-DZ570 Series projectors also have a Rec. 709 Mode for optimal color reproduction for projecting HDTV sources.

Detail Clarity Processor 3, a Panasonic image correction circuit, optimally enhances each area of the screen. In addition, there is a DICOM Simulation Mode, which is a key requirement for X-Ray, CAT scan, MRI graphics and other medical-imaging applications.

The PT-DZ570U also comes equipped with built-in Waveform Monitor. When the output level of the source device fluctuates due to the performance of the device or its cable connections, the original black and white levels of the image content cannot be reproduced correctly. With the Waveform Monitor Function, users can easily view the waveforms on the screen and adjust the settings accordingly, according to company officials.

Panasonic’s PT-DZ570U, PT-DW530U and PT-DX500U projectors have a new dust- resistant design that improves operation and reliability while eliminating the need for an optical system air filter, the company said.

The PT-DZ570 Series projectors are equipped with a 2x zoom lens and a horizontal/vertical lens shift feature that makes it possible to move the projected image without moving the projector. The new projectors use the same lamp as Panasonic’s PT-D6000 Series projectors, so technology departments that invest in both projectors can reduce additional inventory costs and simplify stock management.

The $11,999 PT-DZ570U is a 4,000-lumen, 16:10 projector that supports 1920×1200 resolution. The $6,699 PT-DZ570U is a 4,000-lumen, 16:10 projector that supports 1280×800 resolution. The $6,499 PT-DZ570U is a 4,500-lumen, 4:3 projector that supports 1024×768 resolution.

The PT-DZ570 Series projectors will be available in late November or early December 2010 through authorized Panasonic resellers.
