Plenum Mixer/Amplifier: Roemtech PlenumAmp (PMA-240)

Designed and approved for above-ceiling installations, the PlenumAmp (PMA-240) from Roemtech allows end-users to conceal an audio amplification system.

Designed and approved for above-ceiling installations, the PlenumAmp (PMA-240) from Roemtech allows end-users to conceal an audio amplification system. With simple terminal-block connections, the PlenumAmp can be wired and installed in under 3 minutes, according to the company. As an additional accessory, the company claims a proprietary MagnaKlamp allows for the amplifier to be mounted to a standard projector pole (or any flat, steel surface) in 5 seconds. The MagnaKlamp consists of electrically insulated magnets, giving it an eight-pound holding capacity. With 40 watts of stereo power and two independent inputs (each with their own volume control), the mixer/amplifier is capable of providing clear audio for audiences of up to 100 people. The unit also uses proprietary, advanced noise-blocking circuitry to eliminate noise from cellphones and hum from ground-loops.
