Polycom Hires Former Competitor
Polycom announced that 28-year technology industry and sales veteran Andrew M. Miller has joined Polycom as executive vice president for global field operations. Miller’s hire is notable because of past sales executive roles at companies such as Tandberg and Cisco, Polycom competitors in the visual communications space.
Polycom, which makes telepresence, video, and voice communications solutions, announced that 28-year technology industry and sales veteran Andrew M. Miller has joined Polycom as executive vice president for global field operations. Miller’s hire is notable because of past sales executive roles at companies such as Tandberg and Cisco, Polycom competitors in the visual communications space.
“Andy is widely recognized as a focused and driven leader who brings to Polycom deep experience, operational excellence and a stellar track record of driving global revenue growth,” said Robert Hagerty, Polycom’s chairman and CEO, in a statement.
At Polycom, Miller will lead a global sales operation of nearly 700 professionals and an extensive ecosystem of channel partners and strategic alliances, according to the company.
