Two new portable short-throw projectors from NEC address the needs of educational facilities, small- to medium-sized businesses, and corporate applications, the company says. The NP500WS wide-aspect ratio projector features 1280×800 native resolution at 2,100 lumens. The NP600S offers a 1024×768 native resolution with 2,600 lumens. Both have a contrast ratio of 600:1 and provide up to 4,000 hours of lamp life in ECO ModeT. They also project a 77-inch diagonal image from 3 feet 10 inches away and include Auto Power On via RGB and Virtual Remote (DDC/CI)–which controls the projector from a computer without additional control cables–integrated RJ45 connection, and closed captioning.
