The new Extron XTRA series of power amplifiers offers 200 watts rms power output and consumes only 10 watts when idle and less than 1 watt in standby mode. The rack-mountable XTRA series amps are Energy-Star qualified and feature highly efficient Class D design with CDRS (Class D Ripple Suppression) technology, which eliminates EMI emissions while improving audio performance, the company says. The XPA 1002 is a two-channel amp for 4- or 8-ohm speakers, and the XPA 2001 is a mono model for high impedance speaker systems and available in 70- and 100-volt versions.
