Tannoy‘s new Kingdom Royal loudspeaker is the product of four years of development. It includes a high-gloss wood veneer, Italian leather trim, and a 12-inch dual-concentric driver with a cryogenically treated 3-inch high-frequency dome and compression motor. The outer driver crosses over at 700 Hz to ensure key vocal ranges are handled by the tweeter. At 16 kHz, the dual-concentric’s HF unit crosses over to the latest evolution of Tannoy’s SuperTweeter, which uses a magnesium alloy dome for coherence and even extension out to 54 kHz.
