The PLC-XL50 is a short-throw projector that produces up to an 80-inch image when it is mounted about three inches from the screen, horizontally or vertically. It accomplishes this using a new, large-diameter, aspheric lens and high-precision aspheric mirror technology, as well as a new optical engine. All this produces a native XGA image with 2,000 lumens. Among many other features, the PLC-XL50 has been outfitted with a built-in vibration sensor alert, which causes an alarm to sound when the unit is picked up or moved.
