The Sextant Group, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced that Craig Park FSMPS, Associate AIA, has joined the technology consulting firm as principal consultant and opened a new Midwest office for the firm.

The Sextant Group, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced that Craig Park FSMPS, Associate AIA, has joined the technology consulting firm as principal consultant and opened a new Midwest office for the firm.

With over 30 years in the building industry, Park is an award-winning thought leader on topics of strategic marketing, management, and collaborative technology applications. Park is well known in architectural circles and the audiovisual industry. For the last four years, he served as chief marketing officer for international architecture and engineering firm Leo A Daly. His prior experience includes leadership roles in manufacturing, systems integration, and technology consulting companies, where he led more than 400 projects in the higher education, technology, health care, and corporate environments.

“Craig Park is one of those rare industry stars, known for his creativity, energy, and integrity, as well as for his ability to produce exceptional results,” said Mark Valenti, CEO of The Sextant Group, in a statement. “While Craig’s most recent work has been at the highest level marketing of professional architectural services, his roots and heart lie in the audiovisual industry.

“We expect to see a significant impact on our ability to better serve our clients, especially in the Midwest,” Valenti continued. “Craig’s role will embrace marketing, business development, and project leadership responsibilities from St. Louis to Denver and Minneapolis to New Orleans.” The new office is based in Omaha, where The Sextant Group has been active since 2004. The new office is the firm’s seventh.

Park has served on the national board of directors of InfoComm International and currently serves on the association’s Leadership Development Council. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, and a member of both Construction Writers Association and National Systems Contractors Association.

His awards include Educator 2000 from the NSCA. He was twice a recipient of InfoComm International’s award for Distinguished Achievement in Systems and Facilities Design. Park is a regular speaker on technology applications at building industry programs.
