Sharp’s New Projectors Swivel

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, announced the XG-SV100W and XG-SV200X SV Series 3D-ready DLP systems integration projectors. The unique projectors offer an optional swivel mount unit for flexible use in conference centers, lecture halls, classrooms, multipurpose meeting rooms, and houses of worship, company officials said.

The XG-SV100W offers 4,500 lumens brightness, HD compatible WXGA (1280×800) native resolution, and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, while the XG-SV200X offers 5,000 lumens brightness, XGA (1024×768) native resolution, and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. A 2.0 optical power zoom/focus lens with motorized horizontal and vertical lens shift provides added picture quality with great placement flexibility.

What makes the XG-SV100W and XG-SV200X different is the optional AN-SV100T motorized swivel mount unit. The AN-SV100T enables the Sharp SV series projectors to be horizontally rotated up to 360 degrees (180 degrees in each direction) by remote control. With eight banks of memory presets, each projector can automatically swivel and project on up to eight screens (one at a time), with preset adjustments provided for swivel rotation position, lens zoom, focus, horizontal and vertical lens shift, digital keystone adjustment, picture adjust, and input select.

The optional AN-SV100T motorized swivel mount unit docks to the projectors and attaches them to standard compatible ceiling mounting brackets. The projectors and ceiling swivel mount unit incorporate mating multipin board-to-board docking inputs so that all connections can be made through the input/output panel on the swivel mount unit, making installation quick and easy, according to the company.

“The new Sharp SV series of 3D-ready systems integration projectors, with their 2.0 powered zoom lens, motorized horizontal, and vertical lens shift, and high brightness and image quality are top performers,” said Les Burger, senior product planning manager for professional projectors at Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, in a statement. “Add to that their optional swivel mount unit, which permits these projectors to automatically rotate to project, one at a time, on multiple screens, giving organizations flexibility in projection room layouts. This is a significant asset and value to any organization looking to take their presentations to the next level”.

High-output 10W audio systems deliver ample sound for presentations, with stereo variable audio line output provided to interface the projector with an external sound system. Both models are 3D-ready with DLP Link technology. They include HDMI inputs, a computer/component input, selectable computer/component input/monitor loop-through output, multiple stereo audio inputs, stereo audio variable line-output, S-video input, composite video input, USB, RS-232C, RJ-45 LAN, and a docking connector (for swivel mount unit).

The XG-SV200U, XG-SV100U, and AN-SV100T will be available in the third quarter, Sharp officials said.
