Stampede, a distributor of presentation and home theater technology, recruited three former Electrograph employees to form its Midwest sales team, and three more, plus a former Electrograph credit manager, to establish a presence in the Western United States.

“The situation with Electrograph, while unfortunate, has given us a valuable opportunity that we are capitalizing on,” said Kevin Kelly, president and COO of Stampede, in a statement. “”We have been able to recruit some of the top talent from Electrograph and at the same time expand our reach in the Western region of the U.S. market. The expertise and experience that these new hires bring to the table, combined with their regional knowledge, will help us better serve our dealers.”

The midwestern U.S. sales team is based in Columbus, Ohio, and includes experienced staffers who previously joined Electrograph when it acquired ICG in 2006. Chip Owen joined ICG in 1995 and became general manager of the company’s Columbus office in 2000.

Sean Blair was an account manager with ICG and Electrograph for five years. Prior to joining ICG, he spent 10 years as general manager for Explorer Micro, a white box system integrator of custom-built PCs for CompUSA.

Christina Rebich served as an account manager with ICG and Electrograph for six years. Before working with ICG, she spent six years as an account manager for Milan Express.

“The team that Chip, Sean, and Christina led at Electrograph was number one for 28 of the past 34 months. These three are proven stars and we are thrilled to have them on board,” said Kelly.

In the western U.S., the new Stampede sales team will span California, Washington, and Oregon. Susana Wu, based in City of Industry, Calif., comes to Stampede as a senior relationship manager. Prior to joining the company, Wu had been a national account manager at Electrograph for 11 years.

Jose Garcia and Jonathan Martin are both from Washington and join Stampede as relationship managers. Garcia had been an account manager with Electrograph for four years, and previously worked as a sales representative for City Moving Systems. Martin was an account executive with Electrograph for three years, and had been an account manager with Teacher’s School Supply.

Diane Perez of Portland, Ore., is Stampede’s newest credit manager. Perez was the former credit/collections supervisor for Electrograph for two years, and had been credit manager for ICG for 15 years before it was acquired.
