Having discontinued its VLF218 subwoofer, Community Professional decided to reintroduce it to the market. The updated subwoofer has a high-efficiency, dual 18-inch design with a slim profile and rugged Baltic birch-ply enclosure. With power handling of 1,600W continuous and sensitivity of 99 dB/W/m, the new VLF218 offers high output and low distortion. The drivers can be configured to work with a single amp (1,600W at 4 ohms) or dual amplifiers (800W at 8 ohms each). The VLF218 uses various techniques to keep voice-coil temperatures low and avoid power compression that could reduce output at higher volumes.
