Touch Table: Samsung SUR40

Samsung previewed its SUR40 touch-table technology, which integrates Microsoft Surface software. The touch panel supports more than 50 points of contact so multiple people can use it at once.

At Digital Signage Expo, Samsung previewed its SUR40 touch-table technology, which integrates Microsoft Surface software and Windows 7 Professional. The 40-inch HD LCD is only 4 inches deep and can be deployed horizontally in the table configuration or vertically inside walls and custom enclosures. The touch panel supports more than 50 points of contact so multiple people can use it at once. Recognition technology called PixelSense allows the display to react to everyday objects placed on its surface without cameras. The SUR40 has an AMD dual-core CPU, 320GB hard drive, and 4GB of memory. It also has HDMI In and Out ports, as well as 802.11 wireless and 1Gbps wired connectivity. 800-726-7864. www.samsung.com.
