USAV Welcomes New Pro AV Members

USAV Group, an association of professional AV integrators, recently added new integrators to its national network?NBS Commercial Interiors (NBS), of Troy, Mich., and bkm Audio Video Solutions (bkm) of East Hartford, Conn.

USAV Group, an association of professional AV integrators, recently added new integrators to its national network—NBS Commercial Interiors (NBS), of Troy, Mich., and bkm Audio Video Solutions (bkm) of East Hartford, Conn.

“NBS and bkm are great additions to our integration services group,” said USAV Group founder and chief financial officer Chris Whitley, in a statement. “They both have strong reputations in the AV industry and bring extensive experience to our team. We like the multifaceted approach both NBS and bkm take to developing solutions for their clients, incorporating AV technology with other elements to create comfortable working environments that encourage productivity.”

Having recently acquired City Animation, one of Michigan’s oldest and most recognized audiovisual service providers, NBS works to enhance its clients’ working environments with audiovisual technologies. As a full service supplier, NBS integrates architecture, furnishings, and technology to create effective and individualized solutions for every application.

“After acquiring City Animation, we wanted to take strides towards getting more involved in the audio-visual industry,” said NBS president Rich Schwabauer. “USAV is a well known organization within the pro AV realm and we look forward to fostering new relationships with the individuals on the USAV team.”

Bkm’s primary focus is providing “total office solutions” to meet the evolving needs of their clients. They work with organizations in corporate, education, and healthcare environments to derive AV solutions that help leverage physical spaces into assets.

“When we first heard about USAV Group we were impressed by the breadth of the organization,” said bkm general manager Jerilyn Snider, in a statement. “Now that we have had the opportunity to talk with Chris Whitley and others from USAV, we are convinced that involvement in the group is going to be a great asset to our company. We are eager to connect with other pro AV integrators and USAV’s Preferred Manufacturer Partners.”

Integrators must complete an extensive application and review process prior to becoming a member of USAV Group. Every integrator is required to meet certain qualifications and be approved for membership, according to USAV officials.

USAV Group is now accepting applications for qualified integrators in selected locations. To learn more or inquire about becoming a USAV Group Integrator, contact K.C. Schwarz at [email protected] or Chris Whitley at [email protected].
