Vizio Files Suit against LG
Vizio, which makes consumer flat-panel TVs, announced it has filed an infringement lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland against Korean manufacturer LG Electronics and its wholly owned subsidiary, LG Electronics U.S.A.

In the suit, Vizio, a U.S. company based in Irvine, Calif., alleges that LG infringes numerous Vizio patents in its manufacturing, importation, and distribution of certain products, including high-definition televisions.
Vizio is seeking an injunction prohibiting LG from importing and selling infringing HDTVs and is also seeking award of damages for past infringing sales.
LG Electronics representatives did not immediately respond to PRO AV’s phone calls and e-mail requests for comment.
