Electro-Voice launched its new R300 wireless mic system for the entry-level pro market. It includes E-V features such as One-Touch ClearScan, which scans through the R300’s 32 preset channels and selects the clearest one, and EZsync, which uses infrared to set the transmitter to the right frequency. The receiver can sit on a table top or in a 19-inch rack. For applications with up to four receivers in a rack, the APD4+ antenna splitter can provide antenna and power feeds. The new BP-300 metal bodypack transmitter runs 14 hours on AA batteries.
