Wireless Ronin Technologies, a Minneapolis-based digital signage provider, announced that it has promoted Scott Koller, the company’s current president and chief operating officer, to serve as its president and CEO. In April 2010, James Granger advised the company of his intention to retire as CEO and director and the end of that year.

“Scott has demonstrated his strengths as our president and COO and we are pleased that he will take the principal executive officer role as our company continues to build its revenue and client base,” said Gregory Barnum, chairman of the board, in a statement.

Wireless Ronin also announced that Stephen Birke would take the position of chairman of the board, effective January 1. Birke replaces Barnum in that role, however Barnum will continue to serve as a director of the company, chairman of the audit committee, and member of the executive committee.
