WorxAudio Technologies, a manufacturer of loudspeaker systems for the pro touring and install markets, announced that the company has licensed its brand to EASE Focus version 2. Bundled with all purchases of its TrueLine line array systems to assist customers with line-array aiming and acoustic modeling, WorxAudio Technologies is among pro audio’s first speaker manufacturers to invest in the enhanced software, according to the company.

Unlike the more basic EASE Focus version 1, the new version is a three-dimensional, acoustic simulation application for the configuration and modeling of line array systems and of adjustable loudspeakers such as digitally steered columns. The new software represents a dramatic step forward toward more realistic modeling of complex sound systems, said WorxAudio officials.

Version 2 software features 3D modeling of direct sound, displayed in horizontal and vertical cutting planes with full balloon modeling, which is reportedly more accurate than in the previous version. As a result, an entire room or space can be modeled in 3D. Version 2 also provides support for EASE GLL files and data exchange with EASE and other AFMG software packages. Additional capabilities include the ability to incorporate multiple line array systems into a single project, display time and frequency response plots, and a simulation mode that provides a virtual equalizer for tuning a line array.

Hugh Sarvis, WorxAudio Technologies’ CEO and director of engineering, served as a beta tester for EASE Focus v2.

“EASE Focus v2 utilizes the GLL format for broad compatibility,” Sarvis said in a statement. “With over 2,400 polar curves, there is a tremendous amount of line array fine-tuning that can achieved with this new software, and this enables our customers to maximize the effectiveness of their loudspeaker systems more expediently and easier than before. Pat Brown of Synergetic Audio Concepts and ETC—a recognized authority in the pro audio community—provided our polar curves and I’m convinced that the accuracy of the data the new version 2 software produces will be of tremendous benefit to our customers.”
